10 Day Diet for Effective Weight Loss

The only way to lose weight is to eat less calories than you take in. We recommend consuming 25% less calories than you normally would eat in a day.  If you can maintain a sensible diet for 10 days, you will not have trouble staying on a long-term plan for permanent weight loss.
Below is a copy of a single day of our diet plan. You get a different diet plan each day of the week. In 10 days you can lose as much 3 real pounds. We recommend a variety of foods to make dieting easier. There are all types of foods you can eat that taste good and will keep you under your calorie limitation. See our sample plan below.

Favorite Cereal with 1% fat milk - 1 Bowl 200
1 cup of strawberries 50
Coffee (if desired) or Water (1 cups) 0




Mid Morning Snack

1/2 bagel (preferably whole wheat) with 1 tablespoon of Philadelphia Light cream cheese


water (1 cups) 0




Lunch11:30 am - 1:00 pm

1/2 bagel (preferably whole wheat) with 1 tablespoon of Philadelphia Light cream cheese


1 cup of Healthy Choice Chicken and Rice with 2 ounce ground turkey and 1/2 cup steam or cooked carrots.

- make at home the night before
-  brown 4 ounce of ground turkey
-  cook or steam 1 cup of carrots
-  warm 1 can of 10 3/4 cup ounce of Healthy Choice
-  add turkey and vegetables and put in plastic container, refrigerate and take to work the next day.

Use half of contents for lunch and the other half for mid afternoon snack.

Sliced orange or favorite fruit  50
Water (2 cups) 0




Mid Afternoon Snack 2 pm - 4 pm

1 cup of Healthy Choice Chicken and Rice with 2 ounce ground turkey and 1/2 cup steam or cooked carrots. 200




Dinner 5 pm - 8 pm

Diet Forum Recipe or Beef Stroganoff

Beef Stroganoff
Serves 4

-  Brown 1 pound of extra lean ground beef with 1/2 chipped onions

-  Cook 6 ounces of egg  Noodles (cook as directed on package) 

In medium pot stir in

- 10 3/4 ounce can of reduce fat mushroom soup
-  1 cup of non fat sour cream
-  1 ½ tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
-  cooked noodles

Heat for 8 minutes or until warm. Stir frequently.


1/2 steamed or cooked green peas 60
Slice melons (1 cup) 50
