Easy Diet Tips to Follow

Losing weight starts in the mind. If you win the psychological battle, then you’ll  lose weight. If you beat yourself up after setbacks, which are inevitable then you will never lose weight. Remember these 4 easy tips and you’ll win the “mind game” to losing weight.

1.    Setbacks are a natural part of learning self control. The more setbacks you encounter, the more you learn how to deal with all types of situations. Expect setbacks, it’s part of the course to losing weight.

2.    Acknowledge Your Mistake and Resolve how to fix it. Again, you learn from your mistakes. When you eat something that’s off your diet plan, acknowledge it, and figure out what cause you to stray. Maybe you were too hungry because you are not eating 5 to 6 times per day. Maybe you’re not eating enough calories or maybe you have not given yourself a cheat day and you feel deprived.

3.    Think Long term.  You’re not going to achieve your weight loss goal overnight. Instead of trying to lose 20 pounds in 4 weeks, reset your goal to 4 months. That’s 5 pounds per month or just a little over 1 pound per week, which is a “doable” goal.

4.    Keep a positive self talk.  Look at the positive side of a mistake instead of beating yourself up for slipping. If you slip one day from your diet plan, tell yourself how well you did on the other days and that you will simply get back on the plan tomorrow.
