Frustrated Dieter Can't Lose
Weight

I’m a frustrated dieter. Every
time I try to lose weight I seem to give up
without losing a pound. I start off good for the
first few days and then by the following week or
so, I either don’t lose weight or I go off
my eating plan. Is there any hope of losing 40
pounds which I need to lose for my health.

You’ll
be surprised to know that most people who lose
weight have failed many times before they get it
right. The difference between success and
failure is learning from your mistakes. You need
to analyze why you could not stay on your diet
plan. Was it too restrictive? If so, then add
more foods to make it comfortable and easier to
stick with.
The common mistake is trying
to lose weight fast with an impossible diet
plan. This is not how you successfully lose
weight. Instead of trying to lose 10 pounds in a
few weeks, set a goal to lose 10 pounds in 3
months and plan a reasonable diet plan. Cut your
calorie intake by 25% by reducing consumption of
fatty foods and white flour products such as
bread, pasta and pizza.
Some people fail to lose
weight because they don’t have a plan at all.
They just try to “wing” it which is a big
mistake. So write down a menu plan that you can
easily stick with and reduce junky foods. Most
important, don’t beat yourself up on days when
you over-eat or eat the wrong foods. If you have
a weakness for chocolate cake, instead of
eliminating chocolate cake all together, have a
slice once a week or even twice a week and cut
out other high calorie foods .
The trick is to learn from
your mistakes. Every day you must analyze what
went right and what went wrong and eventually
tailor a diet plan that fits you and only you.
Don’t worry about the scale but concentrate on
good eating habits. Weigh yourself once every 4
weeks while you focus on good daily eating
habits and you will lose pounds and keep it off.
