Dear Diet Tip, My metabolism is very slow. No matter how I hard I try to lose weight, my bathroom scale won't budge. What am I doing wrong? I only eat 1 or 2 meals a day. It seems like I should have lost a lot weight but nothing seems to happen. Dear Reader,
The idea that you're skipping meals and not eating more through
the day is your first mistake. Without realizing it, you are
contributing to your slow metabolism. Unfortunately, most people
make this common mistake when dieting.
To lose weight, you need to eat more through the day and avoid long periods without eating. By waiting too long between meals, your metabolism slows down to match the calorie demand. Eating small meal meals between 100 and 300 calories every 2 or 3 hours will "rev" your metabolism and help you lose weight. Try combining a daily walk with eating small meals through the day to get the best results. Also, plan all your meals. Take a few minutes to brainstorm and come up with good ideas of what you can eat that's between 100 and 300 calories. -----------------------------------------------------------------------
