 Eating Less - 8 Tips

If eating too much or impulsive eating is getting in the way of losing weight, here are 8 sure-fire tips to help you get back on track and eat less without starving.

1.   Use Smaller Plates so Your  Portion Look Bigger
 

2.   Never Skip Breakfast – Not only does breakfast rev up your metabolism, but it sets the pace for the rest of the day and helps prevent binging later in the day.

3.   See Yourself Thin – This mental imagery really helps you get through temptation

4.   Drink 10 Cups or More of Water Daily – Water makes you feel full and suppress appetite.

5.   Brush Your Teeth After Every Meal – This neat trick fools you into not eating until the next meal. We are naturally conditioned to through the years to associate brushing teeth with end of meals (bedtime) or beginning of day.

6.   Keep Low Calorie Snacks Available – Preferably natural snacks such as fruits or veggie work best like watermelon, celery, plain popcorn, baby carrot sticks but you can also experiment with the 100 calories snack packs available in most stores.

7.   Don’t Prepare Snacks for other People – This is a sure way to invite temptation.

8.   Eat Smaller Portion more Often – You can eat through the entire day when you graze on high quality foods that are low in calorie and fat like veggies, sliced fruits, protein shakes, and sliced deli meats such as chicken or turkey and even small amounts of reduce fat cheese with your slice deli meat ……. But of course NO BREAD !
