Dear Editor,
I have 50 pounds to lose and I
need to kick start my diet to lose the weight. Every
time I get on a diet, I end up quitting. This time
around, I'm committed to losing 50 pounds. Do you
have any suggestions?
Dear Reader,
A balance low calorie diet is a
good way to kick start your diet. Most women can
kick start their diet by maintaining 1000 - 1200
calories per day. Make sure you eat vegetables and
fruits. Take a vitamin / nutritional supplement when
on a low calorie diet.
Many diets can be classified as a
kick start diet. For instance, the Slim Fast diet
suggest that you exclusively drink their shake for
breakfast and Lunch and eat a regular dinner. We
don't suggest this type of diet because you
will starve through the day and binge at dinner.
It's always better to eat real
food and learn how to make wise food choices to lose
weight. A low calorie diet is the key to a good kick
start diet but the diet should consist of real food.
This way you get in the habit of making good food
choices through the day and you won't starve
yourself to lose weight. We recommend eating 200 to
300 calories every 3 to 4 hours that you're awake.
Stop eating after 6 PM if possible.
